Well, here we are, September. The summer has gone by fast, but one thing that has remained constant, is the excellent fishing Shasta Lake  has provided. This past Thursday and Friday was no exception.

My clients both days were first timers and both were spoiled with great fishing and quality Spotted Bass, Brown and Rainbow Trout. These fish have been feeding all summer and there stuffed bellies make some look like football fish. Most of the fish were caught were in the 2 to 4 pound class and were caught while trolling optimizer jr spoons, lathered in Pro Cure anchovy gel. The fish are deep, many were caught between 75 and 130 feet deep.

Yesterday, was crazy all day action. Uncle John brought his nephew Brody and Shasta lake ruined him as he reeled in one fish after another. We were constantly getting bit by bass and trout. At one point, we had 4 fish on at once. it was that crazy at times.

Point is September has just started and is shaping up to be another excellent month of fishing on Shasta Lake. Check out the pictures and give me call 530 905 0758 or book online at Caldwellfishing.com
