Shasta Lake catch em all!!

Shasta has been great for a little bit of everything.  The past couple weeks, we have been catching Kokanee and King Salmon as well as Brown and Rainbow Trout. The Trout and Kokanee have been the most plentiful, while the Salmon catches have been a few, but of great quality. 

Rainbow Trout have been 1 to 3 pounds while the Browns have topped out at 5.6 pounds so far. Kokanee have been beautiful clean fish, and all right near 2 pounds. The King Salmon have topped out near 7 pounds. All the fish have been caught while trolling between 50 and 110 feet at speeds of 1.7 to 3.4 mph.

The most consistent lures have been shad imitation plugs. Optimizer jr spoons have recently produced.  Dodgers with small spoons tipped with my homemade corn mixture have caught all species. There has not been one lure that has been red hot but like I always do, I mix it up and move around and find biting fish on something.
