The hot place to be was McCloud reservoir on Sunday. Conner and I caught and released Trout all day on literally everything we casted in the water. Best of all we practically had the reservoir to ourselves. Sunday was a rainy cool day but that did not stop all 3 species of Trout from going on the feed. Conner was casting various small spoons while I casted woolly buggers and bait fish imitations on my 6 weight intermediate sink to pods of rising Trout. Fish were scattered all over the lake so we trolled to where ever we saw fish jump. When we moved from one spot to another  Conner an I trolled  Sep's dodgers with Sep's grubs in orange and white colors. We soaked the grubs in Pro Cure Shrimp/Krill oil which leaves a long lasting  scent trail these Trout can't resist. McCloud reservoir is an amazing fishery so don't let crazy weather stop you from taking a trip. As long as the snow does not close the road McCloud will fish well all winter. - I have days available in November for Steelhead on the Klamath or Trout on McCloud and Lake Siskiyou give me a call 530 905 0758
