Klamath River Fish Report for 10-27-2006

Scott Caldwell
On Friday, the brothers McPhee (Bob and Dan) and I fished the Klamath River for Steelhead. We fished 40 miles downriver and found the fishing to be very good. We had steady action all day on half-pounders. Bob and Dan each landed one adult Steelhead with brother Dan taking the big fish honors. Dan landed a  nice wild Steely that was over 20-inches and about 3 1/2 pounds. We used rebel crawdad plugs and hotshots with worms to land all our fish. We were the only boat on the water and the weather was just perfect. Check out the pics.

*** Steelhead fishing will only get better as the Salmon start spawning, November, December, and January are some of the best mothes for steelhead fishing on the Klamath. Very little pressure and lots of good hard fighting fish.
